The Liver Tranplant Support Homepage
Hello,
You can call me YellowDove. This is my new homepage. I plan to give you information on liver transplants, liver allocation rules, good information on where and how to find related government sites, organization sites, and Universities connected with transplant hospital sites.

If I am unable to put the information needed on this site I will tell you where I found it. The sites will be reliable sites. I will not give you information on sites that are not reliable

Remember this site is only to give information and not to replace your physician's information and instructions. If you have questions concerning your particular situation and health, your physician is always the FIRST PLACE to begin.

WHAT'S NEW?

YellowDove aka LiverAdvocate
My nickname is YellowDove. You will find out more about me in the following pages.I have cryptogenic cirrhosis secondary to liver disease. I am on the liver transplant waiting list and have been for 2 years now. I am a status 2b. To find out more about how an individual gets listed and how they are put in the status they are. Go to: www.unos.org You will find a wealth of information at this site. You can also go to OPTN These websites will also tell you about organ donation, activity on the waiting list, and lots more.

It isn't easy waiting on a liver transplant, but the wait will be worth it someday. I expect a miracle from God. It is in his hands and he has control.

My Site Enhancements

HOW TO EMAIL ME?

In Memory of:
There are many people who lose their lives everyday. They die from various reasons. The people who will be placed on this website will have died from various liver diseases. They may have passed on before a transplant became available, a transplant recipient whose body rejected the liver, could not be listed as a transplant recipient for various reasons or a donor who was killed in an accident. It not only hard on the one with the disease, but harder on the one's who have to watch this loved one suffer. It is hard on the donors family too. May God bless all the donors and their families for give the Gift of Life to another. God Bless those who have gone on because of liver disease, transplant recipients, and the potential transplant recipients.

I will also add a few friends and relatives who were dear to me on this page. They will of course have passed on because of other reasons.

Life is Precious and Beautiful
After becoming so sick with liver disease and knowing that my only survival was to have a liver transplant,I began to look to God.

I was reminded through his Holy Word that life is a gift.It is very precious and beautiful. There were many lessons that I had too learn. I was never promised sunshine without the rain, the calm without the storm, happiness without sadness, troubles or trials, and my roses without the thorns.I learned I had to appreciate my valleys in order to really appreciate being back on top of the mountain.

Live life for today and do not worry about tomorrow or what could have been yesterday's.
